Brainwash

Polarity

The other day I was driving my fiancee to work in the morning, and then I started complaining something like:

Me: “Oh, I am soooo tired…. this is not gonna be a productive day at work.”

Fiancee: “You can change the complaint to thanksgiving and a more positive attitude.” (smile)

Me: “Oh” (thinking which book have you read this time?)

Fiancee: “I read it in the Bible this morning”

Me: “Oh, OK, dang, I’ll try to adjust my attitude… but it’s so hard…”

Fiancee: “See, you should say it’s not THAT hard, and I can do it!”

Me: “Oh… right >_<”

In fact I don’t remember how exactly the day went, but I am sure it didn’t turn out as bad as I thought it’d be! I think it is so easy to be negative because it’s easier to complain, but don’t get me wrong, it’s not wrong to complain.  But the more we complain, the more we’re going to brainwash ourselves and trick ourselves that it IS going to be really bad, or I am SO going to fail, or I just WILL NOT pass the test, or whatever else.  Taking it a step further, even thoughts of lust, greed, painful past, and these things should be not in our head, because every time they brainwash us a bit, scar us a bit, and numb us a bit more until we’re their slaves…

I really don’t mean to be a motivational speaker (far from one, haha), but heck, my fiancee is right and I amjust going to write about it! :P
